This was no small feat, especially considering they were paying a premium of 50p per kWh for their energy. By replacing the existing lighting with the latest smart LED High Bay lights from Ledlights4you, Inflite Engineering has experienced a staggering 83% reduction in energy consumption. Previously, the hanger consumed 35 kW per hour when fully lit, but now it only uses 6 kW per hour. As a result, the company’s energy bill has significantly decreased from £17 to just £3 per hour, resulting in a remarkable saving of £14 per hour. Inflite Engineering is projected to save £58,782 over the course of five years by leveraging this advanced lighting technology.
The key to these substantial savings lies in the implementation of smart Microwave Sensor High Bays, which boast an impressive efficiency of 200 Lumen per watt. When compared with standard LED High Bays, the cost savings become even more apparent.
Aside from the evident financial benefits, the improved lighting solution has also positively impacted the productivity of the Engineering staff. The overall lighting LUX has increased by a remarkable 300%, providing a more conducive working environment that supports efficient and effective operations.
